About the Club
Create Club meets every Wednesday after school from 2:30 - 3:30 pm in Mrs. Taylor's room H103. Club members have the opportunity to compete in design competitions and learn about specialized creative techniques that they may not have the opportunity to explore in class, such as advanced illustration, animation, film production, website design, and more. Club members explore creative applications while crafting lifelong friendships with other like-minded students.
campaigns & competitions
Here are a few of the creative campaigns and competitions our members have completed.
BE IN THE ZONE
Did you know that on average more than one person per day is killed due to texting while driving in America? That is why Ford Motor Company along with the Pediatric Trauma Injury Prevention Program at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt partnered to sponsor the "Be In The Zone" (BITZ) Driver Safety Program. In this program, students at different high schools compete to create the most compelling teen driver safety awareness campaigns to increase awareness among young drivers about the dangers of distracted driving.
ARTSVILLE
Artsville is an art festival held annually in Clarksville, TN that features a variety of artists and their creations for the community to appreciate. Throughout the festival, families can come and enjoy live art, participate in several community art projects, shop artisan vendors, and discover local businesses. Our club members submit fine art and digital submissions for the competition.
ACS TEEN DATING VIOLENCE AWARENESS MONTH
February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness month, and last February students were invited by the Fort Campbell Courier to create a design that communicated a message on teen dating issues. Weekly winning designs were posted on Ft. Campbell's social media accounts and in the Fort Campbell Courier.
